Adoration

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

As Catholics, we believe the Blessed Sacrament to be the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is only fitting that we should adore our Lord while He is present under the appearance of bread and wine. The most common time that we encounter the Blessed Sacrament, is during Holy Mass. However, there are other opportunities to adore Him as well. On the first Friday of each month, Adoration begins after the morning Mass and continues until 5 p.m.

It should also be noted that a partial indulgence is granted to the faithful (under the usual conditions) who visit the Blessed Sacrament and adore it. A plenary indulgence (under the usual conditions) is granted if the visit lasts at least one half hour.
